Domestic Violence Practitioner Scheme
Through the Domestic Violence Practitioner Scheme (DVPS), private lawyers are provided free to assist women and children experiencing domestic and family violence in court proceedings. For a list of local courts where the DVPS operates, visit www.domesticviolence.nsw.gov.au.
If no DVPS is available at your local court, WDVCAS staff can place you in contact with a private practitioner who can, if you are eligible, represent you with a grant of legal aid.
